CSA Memberships are Back at Pocono Organics

It’s that time of year again, spring is in the air, the farm is buzzing with activity, and Pocono Organics’ Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program is open for enrollment. Every year, we offer the option to purchase a share of our CSA program, giving the local community the unique opportunity of premium access to nutrient dense organic food straight from our farm.

A CSA is loosely defined as a crop share agreement between a farm and its consumers. Members pay for a share of the farm’s crops each harvest season. Over the last decade, CSAs have boomed in popularity as fresh food has become a priority for many families.

It’s super important to support local businesses and farms, and of course regenerative organic agriculture! Pocono Organics fresh microgreens are AMAZING, and I always looked forward to the free weekly perks!
— Brandy I., Returning CSA Member

Traditionally, CSAs consist of boxes loaded with freshly harvested produce selected by the farm for consumers to pick up on a set date. Pocono Organics has reimagined the typical CSA program and is offering a flexible spending program. Customers who become members are given a preloaded CSA spending card at the start of the season. These cards can be used in our Organic Market towards, not only Pocono Organics grown produce, and farm fresh eggs, but many of the other organic goods we sell in our store.

I love all aspects of the CSA program and think it is a great asset to the community and deserves to be supported by the community. I have been a member of the CSA program for 3 years , and I have had nothing but a great experience...
— Patty C., 3-year Pocono Organics CSA Member

This unique feature allows consumers to customize what they want each visit and gives them access to more healthy, organic choices than a traditional CSA. The flexibility of the program also extends to when shoppers can come to use their card. Members can come any time to shop; even multiple times in one week! We even throw in exclusive freebies during the season PLUS you get an extra 20% loaded on to your card FREE, giving you more farm fresh produce for less!

Each week I got excited waiting to see what my membership free surprise product would be when I went to pick-up my CSA produce plus other market grocery items...It was a great way to try new things that turned into my routine shopping list items.
